Paul Kaynes is leaving Audiences Central after 10 years as Chief Executive, to take up the post of West Midlands Creative Programmer for the Cultural Olympiad, based at Culture West Midlands.
Paul will be starting work in January.
He said about his time at Audiences Central:
'It's been an extraordinary 10 years at Audiences Central - or Birmingham Arts Marketing as it was when I joined. In that time we've seen huge changes in what we do, the range of organisations we work with, our geographical reach, our governance and structure and our home - we've moved offices twice in that time! What hasn't changed is a commitment to helping arts and cultural organisations to access more - and a wider range of - people, whether as audiences, participants or visitors.'The organisation I'm leaving is in better shape than it's ever been before with a superb team of people, a tremendously supportive, wise board and a very healthy financial position. As we enter our fourth year as Audiences Central the prospects are very bright indeed, not least because of our Thrive programme called Captivate, which will enable our partner organisations - as well as ourselves - to be more customer aware.
'I'm moving to a job which represents a fantastic opportunity to create a legacy for the people and cultural sector of the West Midlands, as the four year Cultural Olympiad starts in 2008.'
