
Hibition, (*Urban Slang):
1. Conscious or unconscious lack restraint of a behavioural process, a desire, or an impulse; the opposite of inhibition.
2. The motivation to act upon such an impulse despite strong social mores to the contrary.
3. The lack of, or the state of being without, inhibition.
‘Ex-hibition’ explores a personality and investigates the transition of a relationship. The artist’s diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder indicates an inability to cope with rejection and states that frantic efforts will be made to avoid it. So what is going on in these paintings???
Tamar’s technique of using syringes to paint words in enamel has been mixed with heavy texture to produce these works. Tamar is a mixed media artist, who uses whatever mediums best suit her work at the time. In the past these have included curation, websites, online methods, installation and video. Tamar recently graduated with a First Class BA Hons in Fine Art. She has shown both nationally and internationally, and won awards for her work.
Tamar is best known for her work exploring strong and unstable emotion, particularly through her investigations of Borderline Personality Disorder, a condition she was diagnosed with several years ago.
