Last weekend was Birmingham ArtsFest and Audiences Central organised the ArtsFest Ticket Booth for the third year running, selling over 4000 tickets!
Audiences Central has coordinated the ArtsFest Ticket Booth for the last three years, but this year was the first time we used a computerised box office system.
The Ticket Booth is only open over ArtsFest weekend selling discounted tickets for future events by ArtsFest participating organisations. This year we sold tickets for organisations including CBSO, BRB, Birmingham Opera Company, mac, The REP, RSC and THSH. Many tickets were on sale for as little as £5!
The Ticket Booth was incredibly busy over the weekend with long queues of customers before we even opened.
This year the ArtsFest Ticket Booth sold an amazing 4350 tickets with a value of over £35,000! In fact we sold more tickets on the Saturday this year than we did over the entire weekend in 2006.
It was a very exciting weekend and Audiences Central is very grateful to the hardworking box office staff and ArtsFest volunteers!
