DanceXchange Job OpportunityDance Artist wanted to work with Telford Youth Dance Company
Dates of delivery: 22 September- 8 December 2009, Tuesday 7.00- 9.00pm (14 yrs+)
Fee: £100 per session inclusive of planning time/travel expenses
DanceXchange (dx), the Dance House for Birmingham and the West Midlands, is a multi-faceted organisation with its own venue, touring dance company, public class programme, and a particular expertise in developing responsive and imaginative participatory work with young people. In addition to their Birmingham-based class programme, dx also manage classes in Telford, funded by Telford Culture Zone.
The successful candidate will:
• have experience delivering and creating relevant dance work for and with young people
• have the technical ability to develop the group’s dance vocabulary and technique
• be trained to a professional standard or have equivalent experience
• have an enhanced CRB disclosure
• be a responsible self-starter who can demonstrate their ability to take initiative
• be enthusiastic and ambitious for the future development of the group and its members
West Midlands-based artists will be prioritised in relation to their proximity to Telford.
