Description

Are you an aspiring programme-maker?

What is V-Cube? "Our initial aim was to provide the area with its first local television channel and provide an outlet for video productions made with the various groups we work with. Now with the help of Aston Villa Community Interest Company and Data Pacific we have created V-Cube.tv. We intend to produce and schedule programmes that directly or indirectly support, enhance, promote or deliver local concerns & initiatives directly to the Web and other broadcast platforms.Or do you just have an interesting story to tell?

"Concentrating on programmes - designed to raise educational attainment, community regeneration, voice health issues, promote development of the arts and lifelong-learning projects - we clearly see VCube.tv as being a beneficial home and resource for local colleges and community groups and social sector agencies and partners, who wish to participate in this exciting project that will directly promote social action broadcasting and democratisation in the media."

If you're interested in film and would like to get involved in making documentaries this could be a great opportunity for you. If you have an interesting story to tell, this could be your opportunity to not only tell it, but broadcast it across the web. You don't need to have experience in film making, you just need want to tell your story and have the drive to see your project through. Iris Production will assist you in the filming, producing and broadcasting of the film.

 What we are looking for:

 • We will always consider original ideas for documentaries - but great TV really comes from the people and places around you - often right on your doorstep.

• What's important to you in today's culture, and what are you doing to help?

• Are there any local heroes, legends or interesting histories where you live?

• Do you have the inside story on local music, arts or new cultures?

• Does your company or organisation offer a unique service to the public?

• Do you have a talent but forgot to audition for 'Britain's Got Talent'?
