Description
Primary and secondary education in England is undergoing rapid change and schools are focussing on new ways to engage the minds of their pupils. Research and development work with schools has established a clear demand for Creative Partners in Learning; people with excellent cultural and or creative skills who are able to work collaboratively with young people and the wider school community to bring about change. This is achieved by creative thinkers and practitioners who, working as Creative Agents or Creative Practitioners, can share processes and models that will result in young people developing their own creativity, accessing and developing their own thinking skills and applying this creativity in their learning and personal development. These types of skills are much in demand, locally, regionally and nationally and would transfer well to other settings, for example regeneration initiatives and work in the community health and housing sectors.
This FREE training will take place over six sessions between 15 April and 04 July 2008 (with an additional 2 half-days in-school practice in mid June to be negotiated).
Application deadline is 19 March 2008 and applications should be returned by post to Cathryn Goodwin at Arts+Media Training.
Please note that there are always more applications than places on this programme and interviews (if necessary) may be in the week beginning 31st March 2008.
